2018
An early study reports results
A 2018 study followed patients who received GalaFLEX during breast surgery for one year. The authors reported good overall results and some device-related problems. There was no separate group for comparison. It cannot establish what happened to every patient or to people who received a different product.

November 2023
Product warnings get attention
On November 9, 2023, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration addressed updated warnings for certain BD mesh products. Permission to use mesh for general tissue repair is not approval for breast surgery. The agency said safety and effectiveness for breast use had not been determined. It did not recommend removal in people without symptoms. That letter is not a court decision.

2025
A small study adds information
A 2025 study compared 60 breast-lift patients with and without GalaFLEX support over 12 months. It reported better maintenance of breast shape with GalaFLEX. The small size, follow-up period and product studied limit what it can tell you about another person’s experience. A lawyer also needs your individual records.
